GOA Team-Up Mon 10/1 7PM

Come join us for our 2nd Team-Up. 7 - 8 pm Monday in the lounge at the Pittsboro Roadhouse. Find out more about what we're doing to build an Animal Adoption Center for Chatham County. Share your passion for animal protection. Click here to let us know you're coming.

Let's Everybody Work Together

A kind woman called me to ask why we needed an Animal Adoption Center when we have organizations like C.A.R.E. (Chatham Animal Rescue and Education).

I explained that C.A.R.E. is a rescue group, like Pet Savers NC

Local rescue groups pull animals from shelters, like the Chatham Shelter to foster and adopt them.

The purpose of Guardians of Angels (GOA) is different, it is to build an Animal Adoption Center like those in other counties.

GOA fully supports the efforts of rescue groups as they do great and essential work.

It's oranges and apples, I explained. We need the efforts of a whole community of animal protectors to end pet homelessness.

Message from Sally Kost, Chair, Board of Commissioners, Pittsboro

Sally Kost, (pronounced Coast), is the only candidate of all the candidates we wrote to throughout the state, to respond to our Candidate Questionnaire.

Here is a quote from Sally:

"I fully support the county working with any non-profit, whether it be Guardians of Angels, or any organization willing to partner with the County to improve adoptions of dogs and cats in Chatham.

Too many animals are being euthanized in Chatham. Additionally, the current facility that shelters animals is out-dated and not appealing as an adoption center."

Thank You to Kathy Dorsey

Thank you Kathy for the amazing work you've done for Guardians.

to sign the petition asking for land.

Send this to your friends who live in and around Pittsboro and Chatham County.

Copy this link into your email:

Show town and county commissioners that residents are in support of giving homeless
dogs and cats in Chatham County a fair
chance at finding a home.

Wake County has an animal adoption center, Wake County SPCA.

Orange County has an animal adoption
center, Paws4Ever.

It's time that Chatham County did too!
